Sh'ma HA HA

This program is designed to help your religious school students better read the Hebrew in the prayers that they are working on.  First, we will read the prayer on its own without laughing, Then we will Laugh on every vowel while pointing to the words.  After we laugh with the Prayer we will return to doing it without any laughter.  Every time I have facilitated this program the Hebrew reading is much better.  The kids and teachers have an amazing time and learning is FUN!!  It is emphasized to the students that we do not laugh the prayers in services (except perhaps on PURIM! )

Teaching Jewish Values with Joy

In this interactive workshop we will discuss what Joy is and learn techniques to infuse Joy into your lesson plans. The Workshop is designed to discuss what Jewish Values are and how we can infuse our classrooms with Joy.

Teachers will work in groups to come up with a Joyful lesson plan

SHAMATI, I HEAR YOU! IT’S TIME TO MOVE ON TELLING OUR
STORIES AND REWRITING NEW ONES

In this intimate workshop, we will tell our stories, looking to change our perspectives and write our new stories. Learn how to honor your old relationships (personal or professional) and move forward. Please bring something with you that you would like to transform. This item will be cut and you will create something new and beautiful with it. Items can include but are not limited to pictures, clothing, ritual objects (must be able to be cut up). The result of this workshop will be a very personal, beautiful piece of art to symbolize your transformation and journey forward.
